Tracking & reporting
Rankings, traffic and conversions measured transparently.
Clear Measurement That Connects SEO Activity to Business Outcomes
Reporting that shows rankings going up without explaining what that means for revenue, leads or audience growth is not useful. Equally, dashboards that aggregate every available metric without hierarchy make it difficult to know what is working, what needs attention and what decisions to take next. Effective tracking begins with agreeing on the metrics that matter for your specific business — and building measurement infrastructure that captures them accurately before any optimisation work begins.
CWA Europe configures measurement from the ground up for new clients: verifying that Google Search Console and Analytics installations are complete and correct, that conversion events are firing accurately, and that organic traffic is segmented in ways that allow meaningful comparison over time. Where GA4 configurations are incomplete or polluted by bot traffic, referral spam or misconfigured filters, we correct them as a prerequisite — because optimising against bad data produces bad decisions. For clients with Matomo or other self-hosted analytics platforms, our team works natively within those environments.
Monthly reporting connects the activity we have undertaken to the movements in rankings, traffic and conversions that followed. We annotate reports with the specific changes made — technical fixes deployed, content published, links earned — so you can see the relationship between actions and outcomes. Where results have not moved as expected, we say so and explain what we are changing in response. Transparency about what is not working is as important as credit for what is.
- Analytics & tracking audit. GA4, Search Console and any third-party tools are verified for accuracy before reporting begins — baseline data must be trustworthy.
- Conversion event configuration. Key actions — form submissions, calls, purchases, downloads — are correctly tagged and attributed to organic search as a channel.
- Rank tracking by intent group. Rankings are monitored at the keyword-cluster level and tied to the pages and intent types they represent, not tracked as undifferentiated lists.
- Annotated monthly reports. Each report links performance movements to specific activities, giving you a coherent narrative rather than a set of disconnected graphs.
- Quarterly strategic review. Every three months we reassess priorities, review the competitive landscape and update the strategy in light of what the data has revealed.
Good measurement does not just tell you where you are — it tells you what to do next, and we make sure every report ends with exactly that.
