Mobile-first & accessible
Flawless on phones, WCAG-minded, and usable by everyone.
Built for every screen and every user — because exclusion is a business risk, not just an ethical one
The majority of web traffic now arrives on mobile devices, yet a surprising number of business websites are still designed at desktop size and then squeezed down. CWA Europe reverses that process deliberately. We design and build mobile-first: the smallest, most constrained context is addressed first, and the experience is enhanced as screen size and capability increase. The result is an interface that feels native and considered on a phone, not an afterthought, which matters because a frustrating mobile experience ends the conversation before it starts.
Accessibility is woven into our build process rather than appended to it. We work to WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines as a baseline, which covers the practical requirements for colour contrast, keyboard navigability, focus management, and the correct use of semantic HTML elements. Accessible design is not a constraint on creativity — in our experience it consistently produces cleaner, better-structured interfaces that benefit every user, including those browsing under poor lighting, on a slow connection, or while distracted. It also increasingly carries legal weight, particularly for organisations operating in or selling to the EU market, where accessibility expectations are tightening.
We test with real assistive technology — screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and browser zoom — rather than relying solely on automated audit tools, which catch only a fraction of genuine accessibility failures. Touch targets, tap spacing, readable font sizes at native scale, and sensible focus indicators are all verified against real devices before a site leaves our hands.
- Mobile-first build process. Smallest screen designed and coded first; enhanced upward through breakpoints.
- WCAG 2.2 AA baseline. Colour contrast, keyboard access, focus states and semantic markup as standard.
- Assistive technology testing. Screen reader and keyboard-only navigation verified on real devices, not just automated tools.
- Touch-optimised interactions. Adequate tap targets, legible type at native scale, and thumb-friendly navigation.
- Inclusive by design. Accessible patterns applied from the start, not bolted on after launch.
A website that works for everyone is also a website that works better for anyone — and in an increasingly regulated digital environment, that is simply good business practice.
