Discovery & UX strategy
We map your audience, goals and routes to conversion before a pixel is drawn.
Strategy before pixels — building the right website, not just a beautiful one
Every website that fails to convert has the same root cause: it was built before anyone truly understood who it was for or what it needed to achieve. CWA Europe’s discovery & UX strategy phase exists to prevent exactly that. Before any design work begins, we invest time understanding your business model, your competitive landscape, and — most importantly — the people who will actually use the site. We map audience segments, identify their motivations, and trace the realistic paths they take from first visit to enquiry or purchase.
This is not a box-ticking exercise. We conduct structured stakeholder interviews, review your existing analytics where available, and audit competitor experiences to find the gaps you can occupy. The output is a clear strategic brief that answers the questions most agencies skip: What does success look like? What does the user need to trust you enough to act? Where do visitors currently drop off, and why? Every structural and visual decision made later in the project is anchored to the answers we establish here.
Our UX deliverables are practical rather than academic. You receive annotated wireframes or low-fidelity prototypes that lay out page hierarchy, content priorities, and conversion touchpoints in plain terms — documents your whole team can read, challenge, and sign off on before a single design file is opened. This alignment at the outset is what separates websites that generate enquiries from websites that simply look good in a screenshot.
- Audience mapping. Defined user types with documented goals, objections and decision triggers.
- Conversion journey analysis. Every key route through the site planned and prioritised before design begins.
- Competitor UX audit. Identify what the market is doing and where your opportunity lies.
- Wireframes & prototypes. Low-fidelity layouts reviewed and approved before visual design starts.
- Single strategic brief. One document that aligns stakeholders, designers and developers on what the site must do.
The discovery phase is where the real return on your investment is determined — it costs far less to rethink a wireframe than to rebuild a live website.
