Missing risk warnings, unbalanced claims, and standalone-compliance issues (FG24-1).

Fix before it goes live

A financial promotion must be fair, clear and not misleading on its own, not just with a linked disclaimer.

Checks a handful of common FCA FG24-1 red flags from your wording alone — not a compliance sign-off. Get a real financial promotion approved by an FCA-authorised person before it goes live, as required by law.

What we check

  • Risk warning present — standard phrasing like “capital at risk” or “the value of investments can go down as well as up”, required prominently and not just on a linked page.
  • No “guaranteed”/”risk-free” claims — wording implying no risk or guaranteed returns, a major FCA red flag for almost any financial product.
  • Representative example alongside APR — credit ads showing a rate generally need a compliant representative example so it is not misleading about what a typical customer pays.
  • No unqualified superlatives — “best”, “number 1” and similar claims need substantiation and are a common source of FCA/ASA challenge.
  • Checks a handful of common FCA FG24-1 red flags from wording alone — not a compliance sign-off. A real financial promotion must be approved by an FCA-authorised person before it goes live, as required by law.
