Conversion Tracking Checker

Enter a page address and we will read the code your site actually serves — checking for the Google tag, a conversion ID, Consent Mode and a consent banner. You get a plain-English verdict and a sheet you can hand straight to your developer.

How to use

1

Enter a page address

Start with the page a customer reaches AFTER they enquire — your thank-you page. That is where a conversion should fire.

2

We read the page

We look at the code your site actually serves, and check for the Google tag, a conversion ID, Consent Mode and a consent banner.

3

Hand the sheet to your developer

You get a plain-English verdict and copy-paste instructions. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Automated estimate, not a formal audit. This reads the code your page actually serves. It cannot prove a conversion really fires — only that the tags are present. And if you fire conversions from inside Google Tag Manager, the details live in GTM where an outside scan cannot see them. Treat a green light as “nothing obviously broken”, then prove it with a real test enquiry.

Frequently asked questions

Does a green light mean my tracking definitely works?

No — and this is the most important thing to understand. We can see that the tags are present in your page. We cannot see them fire. A tag can be installed and still be broken, or fire on the wrong page. Treat green as "nothing obviously broken", then prove it by submitting a real test enquiry and checking it appears in Google Ads within 24 hours.

Which page should I check?

The page a customer reaches AFTER they enquire — your thank-you or confirmation page. That is where a conversion should fire. Checking your homepage will usually and correctly report no conversion event, because there should not be one there.

I use Google Tag Manager and it says it cannot see my conversion ID.

That is expected, not a fault. If your conversions are configured inside GTM, the conversion ID lives in the container, not in your page source, so an outside scan cannot read it. Check it inside Tag Manager instead — the rest of the report still applies.

Why does Consent Mode matter?

In the EU and UK, without Consent Mode signals Google may discard conversions even from visitors who DID accept cookies. You lose data you were legally entitled to measure, your reported results look worse than reality, and Google's bidding optimises on an incomplete picture.

Do you store the page or the results?

No. We fetch the page, pattern-match it in memory and return the result. Nothing is stored and nothing is shared.
